What our clients say..

What we offer..

Our pricing at The Iron Clinic covers both iron consultations and iron infusions. A doctors consultation is an essential part of the normal iron infusion process to ensure that you are appropriately, reviewed and informed, with doctors oversight for the correct treatment and dose with a clear management plan and follow up. We can see self pay patients at any of our clinics (most days of the week). For those wishing to use private insurance please ensure you have authorisation when booking. Bespoke / VIP services are available on request

The full treatment includes a medical review and consultation for their iron infusion there are no hidden or additional charges. Please review our full services and associated fees below, if you have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch:

We are delighted to be able to take patients with insurance. As with everything, insurers have a specific pathway that you need to follow, this may be particular to your insurance policy so please can you check with your insurer:

In general, patients will have seen their GP or specialist then received a referral for an iron infusion, this is what the insurance company normally needs to issue an authorisation code for consultation and/or treatment (see below for details).

So all you need to do is send us your referral letter, Insurance membership and treatment authorisation numbers and we will book you in.

If you do not have a referral, then The Iron Clinic can undertake a normal consultation (for which you have to self pay) and we can then write a relevant letter. We cannot provide details in support of someone for treatment that we have not reviewed. Following a medical review and consultation, you will be able to provide that letter to your insurer for them to review and, if they deem within your policy, authorise treatment.

It is the responsibility of the individual to organise the approvals with their insurers – this in accordance with their policy, as such we can only accept insured patients AFTER they have approval from their insurer with the relevant authorisation number.

If you have had a consultation and need approval for the infusion please ensure you send your insurer the consultation letter, as this will have all the information they require.

Please note that the administration and additional paperwork for your insurance process is not something The Iron Clinic are able to manage for you. Additional insurance reports will be charged £50 per report. Similarly, you do book a self pay then want to cancel and change to insurance and ask us to refund then there will be an admin charge of £50 and so refunded £150.

If there is any confusion then we ask that you pay the normal self-pay fees at your visit and then reclaim from your insurer directly.

The customer is liable for and excess or invoices refused by insurers. All accounts should be settled on the day of treatment unless prior arrangements are in place. We accept all major credit cards. Failure to pay will be politely chased. However, accounts that remain in debt after 2 weeks will be passed to Redwood Collections, a late payment fee of £65 be added to your account and you will be liable for all subsequent charges incurred including time for either admin staff (£50p.h.) or consultant staff (£400p.h.).

We offer regular follow up appointments after your iron infusion. This would normally be with the doctor who undertook your initial consultation or the doctor responsible for your iron infusion.

Normally, we suggest repeat blood test 8-12 weeks post infusion (blood count and Ferritin)

At your follow up we would review and discuss any improvements (or problems) you have encountered. Then review your blood tests (before and after) to discuss with you a plan moving forwards, the need for further monitoring, oral iron or further IV iron. Also, any additional treatments (tranexamic acid) or onwards referrals to haematology / gynaecology / gastroenterology etc.

Appointments can be booked anytime, directly online, emailing the clinic or at the time of your infusion. Just let us know how we can help.

Insurance patients are normally covered for routine follow up.
