The clinic is well served by local bus services, with the nearest bus stop on Shibdon Road, approximately 1-2 minutes’ walk from the centre. The nearby Shibdon Road – Swalwell Roundabout stop is around 2 minutes’ walk away and is served by local routes including 47, 49, 49A and X45.
From Newcastle
• Take a local bus towards Blaydon / Metrocentre / Gateshead.
• Get off at Shibdon Road – Swalwell Roundabout or Shibdon Road.
• The Primary Care Centre is a short walk from the bus stop.
By train
• The nearest station is Blaydon Railway Station, approximately 1.1 miles from the Primary Care Centre.
• From the station, a short taxi journey is recommended, particularly if you have mobility difficulties.
By car
• Free parking is available on site at Blaydon Primary Care Centre, including accessible Blue Badge spaces.
• There are front, side and rear parking areas, with standard parking available to the right of the building.
Parking
• The on-site car park is the best option for Iron Clinic patients – it is free and has accessible parking close to the entrance.
• If required, nearby alternatives include: Damhead and Spa Well Car Parks.
