Supporting the Launch of the SHINE Foundation for Women’s Health
Today, on Iron Deficiency Day 2025, The Iron Clinic is proud to welcome and support the launch of the SHINE Foundation for Women’s Health, the first and only UK organisation dedicated entirely to addressing iron deficiency in women and girls. This is a significant moment for women’s health, and we are delighted to stand alongside SHINE as it brings national attention to a condition that affects millions yet remains widely overlooked.
Every day, we see the impact that iron deficiency has on women’s lives: persistent fatigue, brain fog, low mood, breathlessness, and the limitations these symptoms place on work, family life, and overall wellbeing. SHINE’s commitment to raising awareness, improving detection, advancing education, and influencing policy aligns closely with our mission to provide expert, compassionate care for people living with iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anaemia.
We particularly welcome SHINE’s focus on screening, accurate diagnosis, and timely access to effective treatment, as well as its ambition to improve understanding among clinicians, policymakers, and the public.
The Iron Clinic looks forward to supporting SHINE’s efforts to ensure that no woman is held back by undiagnosed or untreated iron deficiency and that every woman has the chance to regain her strength, energy, and potential.
